Inspired by the fingerless mittens worn by Hermione in the Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 1 movie.

Thumb options – sew layers together to form thumb opening or steeked thumb.

Only one colour used per row.  Knit on straight needles, size 4.5 mm.

(Knit flat, seamed, and large to better resemble movie mittens, but pattern stitch is easily modified.)
