Onwards and Upwards

Venting done and over.  Onwards and Upwards onto better things.

I had wonderful visitors this week to the mobile shop.  Just wonderful.  Restored my faith in the human race.  I needed that!

This seems to be turning into the summer of 1970’s socks.  I’ve been trying to work my way through some of my enormous sock yarn stash.  Maybe I’m just drawn to these wild colours!  A child of the ’70’s!  There have been some wildly colourful socks on the needles this summer.

The pictures don’t do them justice.  The orange ones are positively glowing in real life.

The orange completed socks are with Koigu and the slightly calmer ones on the right are indigo dragonfly.  Both purchased ages ago at different times on one of our summer adventures.

I’m very similar to many of the people who find me when they are visiting the island.  When we travel, I always have to find a local yarn shop or hand dyer or weaver or mill or something fibre related to visit and make a purchase for my souvenir of the trip.  We’re planning a little adventure this fall and I’m already googling and planning some fibre related stops along the way.  So much for reducing the stash!
